Kick-off meeting of MARSAD project (Mediterranean Action and Research for Sustainability And Development)
Racines launched its project MARSAD in Casablanca, on 17 and 18 March 2017.
MARSAD aims to create a collective platform of research, implementation, monitoring and observation of cultural policies in the MENA region. The first step of the project will allow to produce a commun publication written by the four partners and a website compiling data and documentation on the creative sector in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Lebanon, as a first step. MARSAD will also offer the opportunity to prepare the "Etats Généraux de la Culture" in each country and at the regional level.
MARSAD is a project of Racines (Morocco), in partnership with Me’zaf (Lebanon), El Madina for Performing and Digital Arts (Egypt) and Our Culture First (Tunisia).
MARSAD is funded by SouthMed CV. SouthMed CV is implemented by Interarts, BAC Art Center, Gudran for Art and Development, Khayal Arts & Education, National Center for Culture and Arts and the German Commission for UNESCO.
This project is co-funded by the European Union within the framework of the regional programme Med Culture.
